Real Food CT (RFCT) is excited to announce the launch of our Food Systems Engagement Crowdfunding Campaign, now live and accepting donations. The campaign aims to build a more resilient, sustainable, and equitable food system for communities across Connecticut.
Each contribution directly contributes to RFCT’s Young Farmer intern stipends and program needs for the 2024 season, in addition to funding RFCT’s inaugural Ag Expo scheduled for early 2025. The RFCT Ag Exp promises to be a cornerstone community event in promoting agricultural education and food systems engagement.
Doubling Impact: Supporting Young Farmers and Community Events
What makes this campaign particularly impactful is the generous support from Sustainable CT, who has pledged to match every donation on a 1 to 1 basis. This means that every dollar donated will be doubled, up to a total of $7,500.
By leveraging Sustainable CT’s matching funds, RFCT seeks to enhance its efforts in fostering farm and food learning opportunities, crucial for advancing locally-led food systems. Sustainable CT’s matching funds double the community’s support towards a resilient food future.
