Who We Are
Real Food CT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to healthy food. We are connecting local farms and hunger relief organizations in our region to eliminate hunger.

What We Do
We connect locally grown, healthy food to people in our community who need it most. We run two community farms in Newtown, CT, collect surplus produce from local farms, and donate it all to local hunger-relief organizations. We train young farmer interns and run programs and events to support local agriculture and an equitable food system. This year we are expanding our gleaning + surplus program while also running a pilot farm-to-school effort…
Volunteer
Join a group of volunteers ready to grow and donate over 100,000 pounds of fresh produce to our neighbors in need in 2025. There are many ways to contribute, on and off the farm.
