🌽 Join the Real Food Hub for sourcing and distributing local food 🌽
This summer 2024, Real Food CT established the Real Food Hub, collaborating with local farmers and community food purchasers of Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven counties.
We provide aggregation, distribution and direct delivery services through the Real Food Hub, coordinating with a network of local farm vendors supplying food to a variety of local community food purchasing partners.
The Real Food Hub provides a streamlined marketplace linking local farmers with local food buyers. The food hub marketplace provides a new market channel for local farmers, benefiting producers and food purchasers through an easy-to-use e-commerce platform with order fulfillment and distribution coordinated by the hub through direct farm order pick up and food purchaser delivery by the RFCT team.
RFCT’s food hub operations engage with local farms as vendors selling a bounty of locally produced and processed agricultural products to local food buyers placing orders through the food hub marketplace platform.Â
This July 2024 we fulfilled our first orders through the food hub with our first farm vendors–shout out to Sweet Ring Farm, Daffodil Hill Growers, and Laurel Glen Farm! Since reaching this milestone, we continue to expand the Real Food Hub’s community food purchasing program participation with food access organizations, institutions, grocers, restaurants and more.
