Real Food CT, a Newtown-based non-profit, is seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors as we embark on an exciting new chapter. Dedicated to connecting locally grown food with those who need it most, we are expanding our efforts to build a more just and sustainable food system. Our Mission in Action:
- We operate two vibrant community farms in Newtown, providing fresh, nutritious produce and enriching educational opportunities.
- We manage a robust gleaning program, rescuing surplus produce from local farms and ensuring it reaches those in need.
- We run a dynamic Young Farmer Internship program, nurturing and training the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Why We Need You:
We are seeking 3-4 exceptional individuals who share our passion for food justice, community engagement, and sustainable agriculture. Specifically, we are seeking individuals with experience in business, strategic planning, public relations, fundraising, and more. We need visionary leaders who are excited to help shape the future of Real Food CT and solidify our position as a catalyst for change.
