PRESS RELEASE. Real Food CT (RFCT) is hosting its third annual Seed-to-Plate local harvest celebration on Friday August 4 from 5 to 9 PM at NewSylum Brewing Company. Guests will enjoy the bounty of area farms generously donated and artfully prepared by talented chefs Pam Buchler of Aquarian Catering, Steve Forgione of Phinney’s, and Matt Kirshner of Uncle Matt’s Bakery. Dan Tressler and Amber Anchor will return this year to provide the musical entertainment for what promises to be a magical celebration of food and community.
This event is the major yearly fundraiser for Real Food CT, an organization founded on the belief that everyone everywhere deserves access to healthy food. Organic produce is grown in two Giving Gardens and donated to hunger relief organizations and communities in need. RFCT is also committed to training young farmers and educating and energizing a growing community of people who care about healthy food.
