CODE OF CONDUCT
This applies to all RFCT-registered volunteers—including staff, produce pickers, event coordinators.
General Conduct
Please be respectful to the farmers and their staff. RFCT acknowledges that being allowed to pick produce on their land is an absolute privilege. We are beyond grateful to the farmers for their generosity and ask that all volunteers honor this opportunity by treating the farm, its people, and its produce with the utmost care and consideration.
- Act with integrity, in accordance with relevant laws and professional standards
- Represent RFCT positively and act in the best interests of the community.
- Follow all RFCT policies and procedures.
- Use good judgment and seek guidance when unsure.
- Use RFCT resources responsibly and support environmental protection efforts.
- Apply skills, knowledge and experience with due diligence and care.
Conflict resolution
- Remain calm and open-minded when addressing issues, and follow appropriate reporting lines (RFCT Staff on site, or reaching out to: info@realfoodct.org)
- Avoid exceeding your role or authority.
Respect for others
- Treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and kindness.
- Avoid discrimination in any form.
- Do not steal, damage, or destroy property.
- Do not make false or misleading statements, bully others, or act aggressively.
